FIND ETERNAL LIFE
GOD, THE MAKER OF HEAVEN & EARTH LOVES YOU
When next you step outside, take a look at all the beautiful and amazing things of nature all around you. Look at the trees, the animals, the mountains, fellow human beings (your brothers, sisters, friends). Look up in the sky and admire the beauty up there: the sun, moon, stars...the entire universe. Think about when you had a cut on your skin and bled a little. A week later, your skin had simply healed itself and nothing remained of the wound. Ah! Isn’t all that simply wonderful?
Do you know that a long, long, time ago, none of these things existed? The whole universe was void (empty) and dark. We have a Supreme Being we all call God. He was there in the beginning. In fact, He has no beginning and no end. When the time was right to Him, He began to create things. It was He who created everything you see today and are amazed by. I don’t know about you, but I find all this to be awesome! He is so powerful as you can see by looking at all the things He created. His presence is everywhere also. You go up to the stars, He is there. You go down to the bottom of the ocean, He is there also (remember He created everything so naturally, His presence is everywhere).
And He knows everything too. He knows our beginning, our future, the world's future. He knows and sees everything going on in our lives..everything! And He loves you and me, and wants the best for us.
OUR SEPARATION FROM GOD
The problem with us human beings is that even though we are tiny and inconsequential when compared to God, we choose to do things our own way. We create our little religions. We live our lives any way we want, and have no place for the true God in our lives. God, on the other hand is Holy and righteous. He has a high standard for the way we ought to live our lives. But none of us can meet that high standard of righteousness, no matter how we try. We sin all the time, and some of us do some really bad things.
Because of God's holiness (righteousness) and our sinfulness, we are by nature separated from God. And He is not happy that our sin has put a barrier between us and Him. We humans, after we die, our souls (spirit) would continue living somewhere, even though our flesh has died. The place that God desires for us to be after we die is in a place called Heaven. It is an absolutely wonderful place. Nothing on earth can compare with heaven.
People that don't go to heaven would end up in a place called hell. It is a horrible place. We should all avoid going there at all cost.
HOW GOD REACHED OUT TO US
God loved us human beings so much that He did something about this situation. About 2,000 years ago, He sent us His Son from Heaven. His name is Jesus Christ, also called the Savior. Jesus Christ, who is God, the Son, lived a righteous life, and in the end, He died on the cross for our sins and rose from the grave on the third day. After 40 days in which He appeared to several of His disciples, He ascended back to heaven. According to the bible, any of us that repents from (gives up on) his/her sins and accepts Jesus Christ as his/her Savior is forgiven by God, and can now have a relationship with Him.
And if the person sincerely puts their faith in Christ and obeys His commandments as given in the bible, when that person dies, He or she will spend eternity in the beautiful place called Heaven. A place where all tears will be wiped away for good..where illness, pain, loneliness will never ever exist again. And God Himself made it clear that there is no other way to be reconciled to Him and accepted into heaven except through accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and turning away from our sinful way of living.
The bible says in John 3 verse 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him would not perish but would receive everlasting life.”
WHAT YOU MUST DO IN RESPONSE
I encourage you to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today. And you can do so by saying this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen
After you’ve said this prayer, be sure to start living your life for the Lord, doing what is right and pleasing in His eyes (change from a sinful way of living), and being loving and caring towards other people. Forgive people that have wronged you. And find a good bible-believing church to worship and serve the Lord with other believers. Be sure to embark on a life fully devoted to the love of God, the love of neighbor, and of doing God’s will.
